I wanted to learn More about Air brush painting so I asked pat a few questions. She was more than willing to share. What a blessing when we can share What God has freely Given to each of us. Wow! This is so cool ! Praise God ! Pat is a Talented Wonderful artist and she has shared some of her painting techniques with us and the lord is really using her to witness to the world about Jesus through her art work. Pat has Painted Pictures of the book of Revelations. The Last book in the Bible. The book of Revelations is so Incredible. John an apostle and faithful follower of Jesus received visions From the Holy spirit of God and he wrote about What will take place on the earth and about what God showed him will happen before and after Jesus Returns. Pat has an awesome web site, LINK Above and below) with her paintings and illustrations on her Gallery page . Be sure to Go and see them all. And remember you can click on the picture to see it enlarged. I was truly inspired. I ordered a really cool video and some of her posters!! |
I asked Pat a few Questions ......
|
1.What kind of air brush do
you use? do you have a favorite? ( Pat )... I have two airbrushes. A Thayer & Chandler and a Paasche Type "V". The Paasche is my favorite because it is by far the most versatile and dependable 2. Do you use an air tank or air cans? (Pat)...I have a Blue Force silent air compressor that is just wonderful. 3.What brands of paint do you use for your air brush? (Pat)...Badger Air-Opaque and Createx. Both are acrylic water based paints formulated for airbrushes. 4.Do you have any favorite brands or products you use of acrylics or water colors? (Pat)...I like the high intensity of the Badger colors. When I use watercolors, it's Grumbacher or Pelikan. 5. Do you use oil paint? (Pat)...No. They were the first type of paints I used when my parents sent me for painting lessons at age 7. But when I discovered acrylics, I never went back to oil painting. 6. What paintings are your most favorite? That you've done. (Pat)...It's usually the one I have just finished at the moment which is my favorite! : ) I like the "Creation" illustration done for Standard Publishing (which enabled me to get a new furnace and whole house air last year!). I really like "The Two Witnesses", too. That's #16 on the Revelation gallery. King of Kings and Emerald Throne are two that I also really like. I think they truly create a sense of "awe" for the Lord. And I like the Tabernacle at Sunset. I just finished illustrating a children's book and I really like a couple in that series of illustrations, too. It's really so hard to nail it down to just one. 7.When your working on a project do you work into the late night sometimes? (Pat)...Yes, many times I'm up till 2, 3, or 4AM. Sometimes I feel that the Lord is really near, guiding me when I'm working alone late at night. 8.I like your teddy bears and the potato church do you have a pet or any kids? and I think the woman with the cake is me! (Pat)...I have twin sons (age 25), two cats Elsie & Ziggy, and a teddy bear collection (which was the subject of that illustration). Funny, I thought that woman with the cake was me. : ) Well I identify with her plight anyway! Oh yes, I like that potato patch church, too! That was to be part of a children's book written by a friend of mine, but he hasn't finished the book yet. 10. Will you eventually have your other paintings on cards. I hope you will! (Pat)...Hopefully we will. We do these printings as we get the money. Full color process professional printing is very expensive. But is far superior in quality to anything done on a computer print out. ...Hope that helps. Pat Soon the book Pat illustrated will be available in book stores. Titled "A Carol Is Born; the stories behind the Christmas carols" by Lindsay Terry. It will come with a CD and sell for 19.95
