The Hierarchy of
Needs According to Daniel
A man of the world named Abraham
Maslow listed eight levels of needs that he claimed are reasons why we do
things. This is my response to Mr. Maslow:

- Founded on the Rock - All
things that have come to be have come to be by the Word who is life – we were
created to worship the One who created us and to have a close, daily, intimate
relationship with the God of heaven and earth.
- Physiological - Be fruitful
and multiply and fill the earth.
- Daily Needs - Do not worry
about what you shall eat, or drink, or wear, for God provides for the lilies
of the field that neither toil nor spin. How much more shall He care for you?
- Safety - The Lord is our Rock and our
Salvation. All who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- Where we Belong - We are
not a part of this world but are in it as ambassadors, kings, and priests to
the Lord God Almighty. We should know that our bodies are temples to the Holy
Spirit. He lives in us, inhabits us, and builds in us. The Son of God shall
never leave us or forsake us. The Father inhabits the praises of His people.
- Worth in the Lord - Life is
the Lord in me and I gain by dying for Him. Anyone who’s goal is to live for
himself will find death, but anyone who’s goal is to die for the Lord’s sake
will find life. Crucified with the Son, I live no more; the Son is the One
Who lives in me.
- Wisdom - Wisdom announces
to us truth in every ghetto and villa and marketplace. Clasp wisdom tightly
on the neck like a gold choker. Wear this crown boldly on your head. Wisdom
and knowledge of God is life and a sure path to travel on.
- Aesthetic Praise – Let all
things with life in them praise the Lord. Let your lifestyle praise Him. Let
it be His will that is done and not yours. His ways are much grander, more
intricate, and simply accomplished, then our ways. Not one of our senses can
comprehend, no imagination can design, no words can express, the wonderful
things God has prepared for His children. In all things, lean your trust on
Him.
- Become Like Him – The Son
had no inclination to think that His Godhood was something to hold on to or
protect. He became a servant to the lowest of men, whores, con artists, and
socially detestable sinners.
- This gift of life was freely given
to us; we should freely give it away.
