I LOVE PUMPKINS
I LOVE PUMPKINS AND I LOVE ORANGE! ORANGE ! ORANGE! I GET VERY EXCITED WHEN I SEE PILES OF PUMPKINS. WHAT I LIKE TO DO IS CARVE JESUS AND CROSSES IN MY PUMPKINS. MAKE YOUR PUMPKIN TO WITNESS TO YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS ABOUT GODS LOVE!
Ask God to help you find a good pumpkin for carving and don't forget a small votive candle. Ask him to help you be safe.
How To carve a pumpkin
#1. Wash the pumpkin off with a wet rag and then dry it off.
#2. Practice drawing some faces and letter designs on a piece of paper.
#3.Get a table all cleaned off. Spread news paper or paper bags onto the table.
#4.With a peace of chock, pencil, or crayon lightly draw your face onto the pumpkin. LEAVE ROOM NEAR THE TOP TO Draw a line around the top of the pumpkin (a circle at the top) where the stem is.
#5.When you cut out the top be careful, cut at a slant so you can easily set the pumpkin lid back on. If you cut strait down, chances are when you put the pumpkin lid back on it will fall inside! a ZIG ZAG LINE IS FUN FOR THE LID LINE ;O) LIKE THIS \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ BUT MAKE YOUR CUTS WIDER!
#6.Then get a strong spoon and scrape out the inside of the pumpkin onto news paper.
Use a smaller steak knife and cut on your lines. Lightly saw back and forth when you begin carving. I LOVE CARVING AND I CUT OUT PIECE BY PIECE AND PUSH THEM in WITH MY THUMB SO THEY POP iNTO THE PUMPKIN. When I'm all done I empty them out.
When your done put the candle inside the pumpkin. Cut the wick of your candle if its long. I usually cut it to about 1/2 an inch long. Make sure to make a flat spot inside your pumpkin for the candle to sit at the bottom. Don't put the lid on or it might burn. I set my lid on top, off to the side if I can get it to stay!
Here's a tip : If you accidentally cut off the wrong piece on your pumpkin, use a tooth pick to stick it back on!! Have fun and may the Lord Jesus bless you my friend and keep you safe!
Ok the Lord says cooking the pumpkin seeds are a waste of time, they always turn out yukky anyway. So make popcorn in the microwave instead! ;o)
